Oprah’s Magazine Goes Digital

The newly-minted website, OprahMag.com, has been launched specifically for Oprah’s The Oprah Magazine. The print version of the magazine has a loyal following of about 2,400,000 readers every month. This makes it a success and one of the top women’s magazines in the United States.
Oprah’s print version of the magazine first hit newsstands in 2000 with its May/June issue. Now, 18 years later, the magazine has gone digital. We’ve checked out the online version and we love it! There’s just so much to read, with daily updates and articles. Chief content officer for Hearst Magazines, Kate Lewis, said they felt they were missing an opportunity by not connecting daily. This is the reason for the move.
Arianna Davis, the digital director, will head the website. Hearst and Harpo, Inc. expect this move to be really profitable. The e-magazine will have various newsworthy stories, coverage of live events, and content from the print version. Content from the Cosmopolitan and Elle will also be available on the site since Hearst is the owner.
Investing in OprahMag.com is smart for big brands and businesses. IKEA, Swedish furniture line has already jumped on board. The company is the exclusive sponsor of the website for the first 2 weeks.
Hearst gets the opportunity to package Oprah digitally and in print with its other various properties through OprahMag.com. Jayne Jamison says that their largest advertisers can now buy across the entire spectrum with them. Jamison is the magazine’s chief revenue officer to the Wall Street Journal.
Oprah Winfrey is that one person that you would love to see succeed. We all know her for her generosity, having donated over $425 million dollars.

Play Caribbean Stud Poker Online

You will see that the topic does not have a “how to” to it. This does not mean that the “how to” won’t be there later on. We just have to get you to play Caribbean Stud Poker first. Why?  Because the game is so easy to play. Let us show you just how easy the game is to play.

How to Play Caribbean Stud Poker

Understanding Caribbean Stud Poker
Caribbean Stud Poker

If you have ever played Traditional Poker you will see that Caribbean stud poker is very much similar to it. One of the major differences with Caribbean Stud is, the player plays against the house and not against the other players. So if you don’t have a poker face, this is the game for you.

Bets and Payouts

The minimum bet that can be placed when playing the game is 1 credit and the maximum can range from 100-500 total credits. To begin your poker game, place your Ante bet.
The amount that can be won depends on the bet that has been placed when the game begins. Players can have a High Card win of 1:1 or if you are lucky a Royal Flush that pays out 200:1.

Gameplay

Players will receive 5 face-up cards. The dealer will also get 5 cards but with four cards that will be shown face down. By the way, the goal of Caribbean Stud Poker is to have a higher value poker hand. Later on, we will write about the poker hands to shed a bit more light on the issue.
Back to the game, in order for the dealer to have the upper hand, they must at least have an Ace, King, a pair or better.
Rules

  • If the dealer doesn’t qualify, you win even money.
  • If the dealer does qualify, then its game on and may the best poker hand win.
  • And if by chance there is a tie, the card with the highest value will determine the win.

Special Features

Caribbean Stud comes with a progressive jackpot. But this will only be activated when you add an extra bet at the time of the first bet. The coin slot will light up when the progressive jackpot win is active.

George Clooney

Clooney hasn’t helmed a hit in years, but his wallet isn’t shrinking. This is thanks to the up to $1 billion purchase of his Casamigos Tequila. The actor scored a career-high pre-tax paycheck of $239 million between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018.
The 57-year-old actor tops Forbes’ annual ranking of highest-paid actors. The ranking tallies both onscreen and extracurricular earnings in its 12-month scoring frame. In June 2017, British liquor conglomerate, Diageo, said it would purchase Casamigos for $700 million up front. Diageo hoped to earn an extra $300 million over the next decade. This meant an estimated $233 million pre-tax from Casamigos, plus additional earnings from endorsements and older movies.

Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson banked $124 million pre-tax to rank No. 2 on the highest-paid actor’s list. The actor tallied the largest ever acting take-home from film roles in Celebrity 100 history. This is thanks to giant upfront paychecks and a cut of profits on blockbusters like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The actor’s huge social following allows him to negotiate an extra 7 figures atop his standard contract for promotion. This alone helped to nearly double his 2017 earnings.

Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. pocketed $81 million this year. Iron Man cashed an estimated $15 million up front for 2017’s role in Spider-Man: Homecoming. For Avengers: Infinity War, Downy earned several times that amount.
